We’re now hiring a Kitchen Executive Manager to lead our kitchen operations, maintain our company culture, and look to the future with us.
Job Summary:
The Kitchen Executive Manager is a strategic, hands-on leader who oversees all aspects of back-of-house operations while working closely with the ownership and management team. This person plays a vital role in representing and growing an existing culture of community-centered craft food and beer, while supporting and developing a strong team of kitchen managers and staff. We’re open to training the right candidate with leadership potential who is excited to grow into the role and help expand the restaurant side of our brewery.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations: prep, service, and team coordination
- Lead and develop a team of kitchen managers and line staff
- Work closely with management and ownership to align culinary goals with company vision
- Maintain consistent food quality, sanitation, and presentation standards
- Collaborate on menu planning with a focus on seasonal offerings and beer pairings
- Manage inventory, vendor relationships, and cost controls
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, and growth-minded kitchen culture
- Represent Newaygo Brewing Co. values inside the kitchen and in the broader community
Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of kitchen leadership experience preferred, but we’re willing to train a high-potential candidate
- Strong team leadership and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage or learn food cost, ordering, and kitchen systems
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Passion for hospitality, craft food, and people
- Emotionally intelligent leadership style and commitment to team development
